Patzcuaro Lake Tour

I took a tour with Audubon de Mexico by Travelian during Semana Santa, and wanted to write down some of the experiences we had before they all blur together.  I had been to this beautiful area many times before, but not for a long time, and we were able to go to places that were definitely not on the beaten tourist track.

Michoacán state neighbors Guanajuato state to the southwest, and looks more like northern New England than the high desert of Guanajuato. It is renowned for its huge lake and the many lovely crafts villages that surround it.

Barra de Potosi is a village located on the Pacific Coast of Mexico near the touristy areas of Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa in the State of Guerrero. Coatepec & Xalapa Eco Tour :: 10-14 November 2011

Article by: Honey Sharp
What could be more enticing than to go on a tour entitled, “Orchids, Cloud Forests and Archaeology”? Organized by the Sociedad Audubon de México, based in San Miguel de Allende, we would explore not only the cloud forest of the state of Veracruz, but be privy to countless birds, butterflies and orchids. To top it off, the Gulf Coast is one of the most renowned cradles of Pre-Columbian civilization: the Olmecs.
